Green EdTech

Karachi – Ramadan 2026: In a major step toward the promotion of online Islamic education, Hidayah Academy and Green Edtech officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to increase access to Shariah-compliant, authentic Islamic education for Muslim families worldwide.

The agreement was signed at Hidayah Academy’s Defence Campus by Maulana Sheikh Azhar Iqbal, Founder and Director of Hidayah Academy, and Dr Mufti Muhammad Imran Ashraf Usmani, Founder of Green Edtech. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an and was attended by many renowned scholars and faculty members.

Building a Complete Islamic Online Learning Pathway

This MoU was signed to create a comprehensive global Islamic learning platform where students around the world can enroll in Islamic O Level and A Level online courses while also having a structured pathway to the Dars-e-Nizami Aalim course. At the same time, professionals and adults pursuing advanced Islamic studies can access flexible online programs without disturbing with their personal or work commitments.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Mufti Imran Ashraf Usmani shared how the foundation of Green Edtech’s online schooling system was laid during the hard times of the COVID-19 pandemic under Hira Foundation School. While multiple schools saw their attendance fall during that time, the school that ran on online classes remained fully operational and active academically, even welcoming many more students from various cities in Pakistan.

Recognizing the growing need for reliable online Islamic schooling, a dedicated Learning Management System (LMS) was developed and deployed through Odoo Cloud. Courses were professionally recorded and carefully supervised to ensure they align with Shariah guidelines.

The curriculum of the Green Edtech schooling system blends modern academic standards with strong Islamic principles, such as Arabic language, Seerat-un-Nabi (ﷺ), and Islamic commerce jurisprudence. The purpose is to provide a well-rounded education that prepares children for academic success while also enhancing their religious beliefs.

A Vision Rooted in Service to the Ummah

Dr. Usmani further stated that he had long envisioned a system that would allow students who had completed their O and A Levels to effortlessly transition into Dars-e-Nizami studies. After consulting with Maulana Sheikh Azhar Iqbal, both organizations agreed to establish an alliance that would benefit Muslim students and families worldwide. Under this agreement, children can now pursue internationally recognized qualifications within an Islamic environment. At the same time, parents can simultaneously enroll in online Islamic scholarship programs.

Maulana Sheikh Azhar Iqbal also praised the collaboration and highlighted that the goal of the initiative is not financial gain, but service to Deen and the larger Muslim Ummah. He expressed hope that this collaboration will help ensure access to authentic Islamic knowledge alongside current education, especially for families living in non-Muslim societies seeking a spiritually secure academic environment for their children. He also expressed his gratitude to Mufti Taqi Usmani for his guidance and support.

Expanding Global Access to Islamic Education

The organization of Hidayah Academy currently runs multiple campuses throughout Pakistan and in the United States, specifically in Dallas and Houston. At the same time, its online Dars-e-Nizami program serves many international students in about 34 countries.

With this new partnership, both Green Edtech and Hidayah Academy aim to further expand access to online Islamic education together by providing Shariah advisor certifications, Islamic banking courses, and personal development programs for learners worldwide.

The MoU event concluded with a collective dua, seeking Allah’s blessings on this collaborative effort and praying that this initiative becomes a means of spreading beneficial Islamic knowledge worldwide.
