CLASS 06
English
In grade 6, this course enables students to enhance and acquire English language skills in reading writing, listening and speaking. In addition, it supports each skills-based lesson with speaking activities designed to give students the opportunity to acquire and practice vocabulary and grammar.
This course aims to improve all four language skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing to middle school level. In addition, it provides students with the confidence to communicate in English in a variety of different settings, for example social, professional and academic.

Reading
- Read very short, simple texts.
- Find specific, predictable information in simple everyday material such as narrative essay, Descriptive essay, formal and informal letter writing
Writing
- Write short, simple notes and messages.
- Write a very simple personal letter, formal letter, account writing , summary writing descriptive and narrative essay
Speaking
- Communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar topics and activities.
- Handle very short social exchanges
- Use a series of phrases and sentences to describe in simple terms their family and other people, living conditions, my educational background and their present or most recent life
Listening
- Understand phrases and the highest frequency vocabulary related to areas of most immediate personal relevance (e.g. basic personal and family information, shopping, local area, employment).
- Understand the main point in short, clear, simple messages and announcements
Grammar and Vocabulary
- Introduction to parts of speech. Using articles: a, an, the
- Using can, can’t to describe ability, e.g. I can’t play guitar.
- Using comparative adjectives, e.g. museums are more interesting than parks.
- The difference between countable and uncountable nouns, e.g. some bread/a slice of bread.
- Using demonstrative adjectives, e.g. are these your keys? Yes, they are!
- The going to future, e.g. what are you going to do next week?
- Using imperatives, e.g. Water the plants every day.
- Uses of must and have to, e.g. Do I have to do my homework?
- The past simple of the verb to be, e.g. Were you at the party yesterday? No, I wasn’t.
- Using possessive adjectives, e.g. our favorite subject is grammar.
- Different question types, including yes/no questions, short answer questions and wh-/how questions.
- Using the present continuous tense, e.g. Are you having dinner? No, we’re having lunch.
- Using the present simple with subject pronouns, e.g. I am, you are, she is…
- Building up English words of daily usage with correct pronunciation, e.g. heart& hurt
- Understanding the concept / application of tenses in English.
Mathematics
In this Math course, students study the mathematical concepts that will help them as they transition through middle school and prepare for Pre-Algebra. They will explore divisibility rules, factors and real- world use for integers and then study graphing, absolute value, and comparing and ordering integers. Next they define rational numbers and learn to compare and order them. They discuss the parts of an expression, and determine how to write verbal phrases as expressions. They will also explore the use of exponents, and study the order of operations and discuss substituting values for variables and using substitution in algebraic expressions. They will also master how fractions, decimals, and percents are related to each other and bring math to life, presenting compelling and engaging real-world applications.

Computer Studies
Our Grade 6 curriculum is designed in a way to strengthen students’ existing skills with the learning of new platforms. So students will be able to classify the computers and will get introduced to modern input and output devices that are widely being used. Their understanding of Software will upsurge when they dig down to its classification and computer languages. students will also learn formal ways of data keeping and maintenance of spreadsheets. students get an opportunity to explore their potential in the area of publication, fusion of their imaginative and technological skills produces high quality publications. The programmers of the future will get introduced with the concept of coding as every step to success counts. Our digital natives will continue to master digital communication and Internet practices. Students will receive another challenge to explore their presentation making skill at another but advanced and more interactive platform which is CS3.

In grade 6 science book uses a constructivist inquiry approach to help pupils acquire science knowledge, skills, processes, ethics, and attitudes. It provides pupils with a solid foundation for further studies in science and stimulates their interest and innate curiosity through the use of various learning strategies based on sound pedagogical principles.

Students will also explore trends of the digital world and will get familiar with popular social sites, but to cope up in the digital world students should have awareness of black hats, so they will get prepared to avoid any virus and malware and how to fix it. our curriculum does not only bring up the users although we are working on the development of future coders and programs, for this purpose they will begin with the basic codes and lead to more advanced coding of web pages. creativity does not end up in development. Students will get the opportunity to enrich their skills by exploring advanced tools of flash and will be able to make more interactive presentations.
