The A level English course is a rigorous and challenging program that will deepen students’ understanding and appreciation of the English language and literature. Students will be exposed to a wide range of texts and genres, including poetry, prose, drama, and non-fiction. They will develop the skills to analyze and interpret texts, as well as to write critically and creatively.
Throughout the course, students will engage in close reading and analysis of texts, focusing on literary techniques, themes, and historical and cultural contexts. They will also be required to read widely and independently, developing their own interests and perspectives.
In addition to class discussions and group work, students will also be expected to write regularly, including literary analysis essays and creative writing assignments. They will receive feedback and guidance from the instructor to improve their writing skills.
The course will culminate in a final examination that tests students’ understanding of the texts studied and their ability to analyze and interpret them. Successful completion of the A level English course will prepare students for further study in English literature, language, and writing, as well as for careers that require strong communication and critical thinking skills.
